Think about a couple that has been married for 5 years ... 10 years ... 20 years ... 30 ... 40 ... 50 years. More than once they've had to do battle as a team and stand tough in the face of adversity.

To be married, you cannot be a wimp -- you've got to be tough! Toughness in marriage looks like a husband and wife getting hit by life, yet continuing to stand firm through it all.

There will be 1,001 different obstacles your marriage must overcome ... and that's just on the honeymoon! 😆

If your marriage is going to be healthy, functional, loving, lasting, and any other positive adjective you can think of, it must be operated by two people who are tough and willing to stand against the enemies of marriage that are sure to come.

You see, it's not a matter of IF obstacles will come that can rip your marriage apart, it's a matter of when. We live in a fallen world so trouble is unavoidable for all of us. The key is how we handle the trouble. Proverbs 24:10 says, "If you falter in times of trouble, how small is your strength!"

Think about a couple that has been married for 5 years ... 10 years ... 20 years ... 30 ... 40 ... 50 years. More than once they've had to do battle as a team and stand tough in the face of adversity.

If you want to have a lasting, loving marriage; you're going to have to stand tough as well. When the going gets tough, remember that marriage ain't for wimps.
